Romney is expected to run for president again in 2012 to be the Republican Party’s nominee against President Barack Obama, whom he hypocritically trashed thursday to the delight of activists at the opening day of the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington. so its no surprise he would try and bash Obama for some votes.
Romney also said the $787 billion stimulus bill Obama pushed through hasn’t created “a net new job” except in the government sector, adding the business community “frankly, is scared” by his policies.
“Schwarzenegger: I find it interesting that you have a lot of the Republicans running around, and pushing back on the stimulus money and saying, ‘This doesn’t create any new job,’” said Schwarzenegger. “And then they go out and do the photo ops, posing with the big check and they say: ‘Isn’t this great, look at the kind of money I’ve provided for the state and this is money to create jobs, and this has created 10,000 new jobs, this has created 20,000 news jobs, and all those kinds of things.’ It doesn’t match up.”
It’s hypocrisy, said host Terry Moran. “Exactly,” Schwarzenegger replied.
The Obama administration says the stimulus has saved or created as many as 2 million jobs. Private economists widely agree that it staved off a far deeper economic contraction.
State governors are in Washington this week for their annual gathering and will meet Obama on Monday as both parties gear up for congressional elections in November.
“It’s kind of politics,” Schwarzenegger said of the claims by Republicans that no jobs flowed from the stimulus program.
we need more leadership in the Republican party like Schwarzenegger , politicians that are not afraid to say the other side is doing something right.
